circa 1910 (9935 / 6) and circa 1934 (17193), gun nos. 9935 / 6 with 28in. sleeved nitro barrels, retaining original ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, rib inscriptions worn, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke (No.1 gun with removable Teague choke inserts); gun No.3 with extra 28in. nitro choke barrels (Birmingham proof for 1962), the rib engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS. 67A. ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '3*' at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. full choke in both, treble-grip actions with removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, bold engraving of art nouveau stylised scrolling acanthus and floral designs, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15in. well-figured stocks (slight sweep at combs) including 1 1/4in. wooden extensions, weight 6lb. 12oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 10oz. (No.2), gun no. 17193 with 28in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1962), the rib engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS. 67A. ST. JAMES'S STREET.
